I have 14 years experience as a psychiatric registered nurse working in settings ranging from children's inpatient to corrections/prison. As a nurse practitioner, I provided inpatient coverage on a geriatric unit and outpatient services in a community mental health center at Chester/Crozer. In 2017, I began work with children and families as part of the Children's Mobile Intervention Services program in Philadelphia, and later joined a child/adolescent outpatient program where I have worked the past 3 years. Something that has been obvious to me is the general fragmentation of mental health services. Parents frequently struggle to find quality mental health services for their children.
