Short Summary: Oscar did good work when he was here, but has been dishonest and unreliable in completing the agreed upon job. When asked to come back, he lied about doing the work after being unaware that we have security cameras on property. 2-months later, we are still waiting for him to come back and complete the work. Save yourself the hassle and go with another provider.

I met with Oscar after we moved into our new home. We talked with Oscar about removing the weeds, cutting back overgrown plants, cutting the grass, and spraying preventative treatment. He quoted us $300 for everything.
After several times of contacting Oscar to see when he was coming, he came and cut our grass and edged the lawn. He did not cut back overgrown plants, did not remove large patches of weeds, and did not spray preventative treatment. I had set aside the money in an envelope but was on a conference call when Oscar finished, so I could not check the quality of the work. There was a miscommunication with my husband, so he paid Oscar $300 for cutting our backyard and front yard. While Oscar did a good job cutting the grass, it was not worth $300!
I contacted Oscar to see when he would be coming to complete the work. He apologized and said he had forgotten his spray. He told us he would come back to finish the job next time he was in the area. That was 2 months ago. After several messages asking him when he was coming, Oscar told us that he already came and that we did not see him there. I know this is untrue as both my husband and I work from home, there is a lock on the back gate, my window faces the back yard, my husband's window faces the front, and we have security cameras in both the front and back.
After letting Oscar know that we knew he had not come out, he promised to return. Obviously, he has not come back to treat the yard. Oscar did good work when he was here, but has been dishonest and unreliable in completing the agreed upon job. Save yourself the hassle and go with another provider.
