Wooster Community Hospital offers a wide variety of surgical specialties with highly trained Anesthesiologists and Surgeons on our medical staff, including General/Vascular, Urology, Orthopedic and Spine, Otolaryngology/ENT, Ophthalmology, Podiatry, Plastic & Reconstructive, Oral/Maxillofacial, and Obstetricians/Gynecology surgeons.

Our Private Birthing Suites offer the following accommodations: Private bathrooms, Subdued Lighting, Simulated (Quiet) Wood Flooring, A Loveseat that folds out into a bed for the comfort of your partner or loved one, Congratulatory dinner & dessert - compliments of WCH on the arrival of your new baby.

Wooster Community Hospital and HealthPoint offer the service of Ultrasound or Sonography. This technology is a valuable imaging tool that uses sound waves (and no radiation) to view images of the body. Ultrasound can evaluate many of the body's internal organs, as well as allow observation of unborn babies.

The pediatric unit is supported by Pediatric Hospitalist physicians from Akron Children's Hospital that are available 24/7 to care for the patients. The Unit is also supported by Otolaryngologist/ENT Physicians, and surgeons. Parents are always welcome to spend the night with their child to reduce anxiety and add an extra sense of security.

The Intensive Care Unit at Wooster Community Hospital is a specialized unit featuring all private one-bed rooms that are custom designed to address the individual needs of our patients. The ICU is equipped with specialized state of the art equipment that allows us to provide care to a variety of critically ill patients. Our intensive care nurses are specially trained to provide personalized, compassionate care to the critically ill and their families

All Registered Nurses working in the ICU are trained in advanced cardiac life support techniques.

Our physical therapy team provides a wide variety of services and expertise in caring for acute and post-surgical injuries, sports and orthopedic conditions as well as pediatric and geriatrics conditions. Our staff is comprised of board-certified specialists, Doctorate degree and advance credentialed therapists. Many of our staff members have presented at national conferences, and we are very involved in the latest outcomes research.

The Progressive Care Unit (PCU) at Wooster Community Hospital is a specialized medical surgical and cardiac unit with private one-bed rooms. This unit was designed to provide our patients and their families with state of the art care, while ensuring privacy and comfort.

Wooster Community Hospital offers a Medical/Surgical area that delivers care to a variety of medical and surgical patients. Our highly skilled nursing staff provides physical and emotional care to patients and their families.
