The Visiting Nurse Group, Inc. VNG, one of the leading private duty nursing agencies in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, has been providing quality home health care services for over two decades. VNG is staffed by Registered and Licensed Practical Nurses, Certified Nursing Assistants and Home Health Aides, and Licensed Physical and Occupational Therapists. VNG now takes care of more than one hundred patients 90 pediatric with severe medical illnesses. All services are performed in the home and include management of tracheotomy, ventilator programs, gastronomy care, seizure disorders, cerebral palsy, intellectual and developmental disabilities, and congenital anomalies. The Foundation In 1986, VNG was established and successfully served as a nurse-staffing agency for hospitals until 1995. On September 17, 1995, VNG became Medicare Certified and refocused on adult home care due to great demand. Over the next few years, an even greater need for pediatric home care existed. Many of the large insurance companies called VNG requesting care for their pediatric patients. The requests were so enormous that VNG made a strategic management decision to forgo home care for adults and concentrate on pediatrics. Today, VNG is one of the largest pediatric private duty home health care nursing agencies servicing Philadelphia and the surrounding suburbs.
