Originally from Metairie, LA, she has worked as a Registered Nurse and Family Nurse Practitioner in multiple settings, including Mercy Med, Piedmont, and CSU, and even owned her own practice. At Midtown OBGYN, Turena focuses on comprehensive in-clinic care with special interests in post-menopausal health, obstetrics, and primary care. Outside of work, she enjoys traveling, hiking, and DIY home projects. She and her husband, Tommy, are proud parents of six children and love celebrating her Louisiana roots, especially Mardi Gras.
