I have a unique background, representing adults and children in Social Security disability claims before attending medical school. I was drawn to psychiatry, and working exclusively as an outpatient provider allows me to get to know my patients, develop relationships and watch them evolve. I enjoy teaching and working with residents, but prefer to spend time with patients, providing both medication management and various therapies, based on patient need. I am not a "drive-by doctor" and am disappointed in the managed care model that limits/dictates time that providers spend with patients.
