Dr O'Brien holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Michigan State University, where he majored in human physiology. He went on to earn his medical degree from Michigan State University College of Human Medicine. He received his formal training in plastic and reconstructive surgery at the University of Kansas Medical Center in Kansas City. This advanced training focused on facial plastics, rhinoplasty, cutting-edge breast augmentation, breast reduction, reconstruction and body contouring procedures. As a Michigan native, Dr O'Brien is excited to have the opportunity to care for the people of Northern Michigan. His passion is helping patients restore their confidence and individual beauty, giving them a sense of empowerment.
