Bob and Diane Lazier first came to Vail Colorado on their honeymoon during a bitter cold snap in January of 1963, the first ski season of Vail's existence. The Lazier's honeymoon turned into a lifelong passion for each other and for Vail.
Over five decades ago, the Lazier family embarked on a lifelong journey and opened the original Tivoli Lodge in 1968. A legendary Vail family owned resort, it is owned and managed by the second generation of the Lazier family. The Tivoli Lodge has been renewed with an entirely brand new building in 2006, which is immersed in old-world charm and suffused with Tyrolean traditions, ambiance, and hospitality.
