When we first opened our doors in 1903 to the general public. We specialized in Antique Upholstery Only. Now days, we specialist in furniture and auto upholstery & teaching you how to do upholstery. We also teaching sewing lessons. Our wide variety of services are from Cushion replacement / re-stuffing to re-upholstering any piece of furniture. To re-upholstering your auto seats. To teaching you how to do upholstery ! Sewing lessons too.

In fact we have quite a success story to tell you............. My great grandma had a interest in upholstery in 1857. In those days upholstery wasn't a trade heard of as of yet. In fact it had no name.
Upholstery definition was to hold up or holdem which, was explained as a padded seat with fabric. The name upholstery was hard to spell and fit the Manuel labor part. As it became a trade name... Today it's missed spelled and always will be.

My great grandma decided to copy the piece which was done previously.
Weather it was a couch, love seat, chair or ottoman .Not to mention cushions ......
She was so interested she would teach herself and learn how.......6-months later she was called the upholstery lady.

People came from all around to have a chair or piece re-upholstered. My great grandmother became very well know ...... her talents were so amazing. upholstery became a family trade and was passed down 4-generations.

I'm proud to be the great granddaughter . It's amazing how I carry the same interest and talent for upholstery.

Original upholstered Barell back chairs- Customer asked for a redesigned piece. Which consisted of changing the look of the pillow top to a pull over only. With 14 buttons only. The outside back pleated. See finished pics below.

This is what you could find when you come home after leaving a dog inside all day long. A chewed up Loveseat.

Tiffer's did it again ! Another happy upholstery student. This swivel rocker was re-upholstery for a dreamed some day she would own a get away. (cottage) In-between lesson she took a two week vacation with her husband to find and buy that cottage. The cottage is in northern California.

Tiffer's worked every step of the way with student Amanda Blosser. The chair was the 50's error and was redesigned for a more modern look. You could imagine a big over stuffed 50's chair ! Right !

" BEFORE HOPE CHEST " This piece is a keep sake. It's over 50 years old. Briggs parents purchased it for her. It can have a number of uses. At the end of your bed as you change your close. Or @ the entry way to sit down and remove your shoes. A bench you sit on and read and have a tea or coffee tray sitting on the bench.

New upholstery can make a piece as it also re-designs a room. This finished product has a 4" foam cushion and 2-free bodice pillows. Contact us @ Tiffer's were award winners for the last 8-years for the most creative during these hard times. Our workmanship is flawless. We guarantee our work for a year.

THIS RECLINER USE TO BE THE HUSBANDS AS HE PASSED AWAY 10 + YEARS AGO. It had senitamentel value to the wife. It was the wifes holiday present to her self. Just in time for Thanksgiving ! this recliner has seen better days. As the mechanisms were tweeked from flopping down in the recliner. This piece is uniquely designed with wood arms. ANOTHER HAPPY CUSTOMER !

This 1960's Wing back is very uniquely designed. It's well worth re-upholstering. This wing back is project Catherine.

Side view. The customer goes deer hunting every year. Us @ Tiffer's did the front without any window installed the top and sides. It was originally held by Velcro on sides. As it shrunk the sides. As when it was return in June 2019. it was stretched with water on top and weights on sides.

" Look Inside " It has a custom headliner and a window in the front. It sleeps six people, has a few uses. The SUV pulls right into and straps down for hauling. Its used to haul trash too. As it has a folding gate in back.

Back door closure drape open. See the fold down back. Its used as a porch when camping. It lowers to the ground and you drive the SUV right inside trailor.
