Thomas brings nearly two decades of financial industry experience and most recently served as executive vice president and chief lending officer for Farmers Bank, prior to merging with TowneBank. As the President of Suffolk and Western Tidewater, Thomas leads the commercial and retail banking teams at locations in the City of Suffolk, Isle of Wight, and Southampton Counties.

He is a graduate of St. Mary’s College of Maryland, the Virginia Bankers Association School of Bank Management, and the American Bankers Association Stonier Graduate School of Banking. In the community, Woodward serves on the boards of Meals on Wheels of Suffolk & Isle of Wight and Obici Healthcare Foundation. He is an active volunteer with the Suffolk chapter of Ducks Unlimited.
