The Village School, founded in 1977, is an academically challenging Montessori school in Waldwick, NJ with programs from Toddlers (18 months old) through Middle School (8th grade).

We are one of two PreK-8 schools in NJ that hold triple accreditation from the American Montessori Society (AMS), the New Jersey Association of Independent Schools (NJAIS) and the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools (MSA). The accrediting organizations demonstrate our commitment to academic excellence and continuous improvement.

We strive to empower every student to be an independent, self-directed, self-motivated learner and a happy contributing member of our community. We recognize that each child is unique with individual talents, interests and abilities.
