The Mayflower is a familiar name and landmark in the historic section of Lexington, Virginia. Acquired by American Retirement Homes in 1984, this once grand hotel underwent renovations and refurbishing to transform into the assisted living residence that is home to our area seniors.brVisitors and residents are welcomed into The Mayflower by the covered front porch. The porch is a wonderful place to sip iced tea in the afternoon and watch the hustle and bustle of the day. Once inside the building, you feel as though you have stepped into the lobby of a hotel of yesteryear, not an assisted living building. Residents and their guests enjoy dining in a large beautiful dining area. The Mayflower boasts a sun-filled activity room on the main floor and a large activity area on the lower level.
