I dedicated my career to Metabolic Medicine because it's the way to actually treat (rather than merely manage) chronic diseases such as diabetes and heart disease. Treating metabolic disease can make a huge difference in all aspects of a person's life. My husband and I, both life-long Washington residents, enjoy exploring the region, discovering off-the-beaten-track restaurants and roadside attractions. I am fanatical about national parks and enjoy road-tripping throughout the U.S.
