I knew that I wanted to have a career working with children from a young age. Playing with my dolls and taking care of my younger sister evolved into babysitting, becoming a camp counselor and eventually majoring in child development in my undergraduate studies. Now as a pediatric nurse practitioner, it is my greatest joy and privilege to take care of children of all ages and watch them develop and grow before my eyes. When you work in pediatrics, you are not only taking care of the patient but also the parents and the entire family unit. My goal is to make sure that parents feel heard and are empowered to take care of their children. When I am not taking care of these wonderful kiddos and their families, I enjoy spending time with my husband and our fur children, doing water sports at Smith Mountain Lake in Virginia, exploring Raleigh, and cheering on our favorite collegiate teams.
