Stony Brook Advanced Imaging - Commack

I had sonograms and other tests in the past and the technicians were always kind. Today the technician I got was just the opposite. She was completely callous and uncaring. I was in awful pain from the position I was told to assume. I politely verbalized my experience of being in pain. The technician in a harsh and threatening manner proceeded to ask if I wanted the test. I felt very intimidated and tried to bare the pain as best I could. With complete disregard for when I involuntarily flinched she admonished me. With tears from the pain when I asked if we were almost done she had no words of comfort other than to emphatically say no. I am in residual pain from this test. I am sure the technician was skilled in order to work at Stony Brook Radiology but health care workers also need to have a little bit of concern for their patients and compassion for their suffering.
