Dr Maddox holds a lifetime certificate from the American Board of Dermatology. In addition to general dermatology, he has a special interest in cancers of the skin. He has been with Dermatology Associates of Montgomery, now part of Advanced Dermatology and Cosmetic Surgery, since 1983. A U.S. Navy veteran, Dr Maddox is a clinical associate professor of medicine at UAB Health Center Montgomery and is active in teaching medical students and residents. Honors include the Continuing Medical Education Award of the AAD and Physicians' Recognition Award of the AMA. Dr Maddox is a member of the AAD, Alabama Dermatological Association, and the Medical Association of the State of Alabama. Dr Maddox enjoys studying military history.
