Born and raised in San Francisco, Dr. Sky Shanks is a board-certified podiatric surgeon who specializes in diseases and injuries affecting the foot and ankle.

She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Human Biology from Pitzer College, a member of the Claremont Colleges. She then returned to the Bay Area and completed her doctorate at the California School of Podiatric Medicine at Samuel Merritt University in Oakland, with her surgical residency at St. Mary's Medical Center in San Francisco.
