Founded in May of 1980 as Intermountain Fly & Tackle, father and son Ray & Matt Nicholls established a shop which quickly grew to include fly fishing equipment, fly tying components, spinning gear, and wading equipment. In 1985, the shop expanded to sell boats and outboard motors, including outboard service and repairs, with Matt as the certified outboard technician on site. Hence the beginning of Intermountain Marine, and the new name for the business: Shasta Angler & Intermountain Marine.
