Philosophy of Care
Family physicians must be well-rounded, representing all that which an ideal physician should. They must be adept in establishing enduring patient-doctor relationships, extremely knowledgeable in the complexities and varied nature of health and disease processes, and most importantly, caring and compassionate towards their patients. Since each individual is uniquely created, with special needs, emotions, thoughts, and desires; they must be treated accordingly. Family medicine allows for the opportunity to interact with different people on a daily basis, while aiming to enhance each one’s health and overall outlook on living. And that to me is the most fulfilling job anyone can ask for.
