Ruth Catignas MD

Ruth Catignas was born and raised in the Philippines. Attended and finished her Bachelors of Science in Nursing at Manila Doctors Hospital School of Nursing and Philippine Women's University. She has an extensive experience in Diabetes where she worked as an RN for 12 years at Makati Medical Center with Dr. Augusto Litonjua, an Endocrinologist and President of the Philippine Diabetes Association.

Ruth came to the United States in 1993 and worked as an RN until 20007. She worked in Medical Surgical, Telemetry, ICU, Open Heart and Cath Lab. She has received multiple awards during the years of her practice and to name a few, Nurse of the year at Memorial West, Most Valuable Employee at Palmetto General Hosp. Outstanding Performance Award at Mt. Sinai Medical Center and many more.
