My work includes direct patient care for individuals and their families, supporting other providers through departmental initiatives and conducting research focused on children experiencing irritability and severe emotional dysregulation.In outpatient care, I utilize the Vermont Family-Based Approach which emphasizes treating the whole family to support lasting wellness. I take a strengths-based perspective on mental health and wellness.When evaluating for medication, I consider the full context of a patient's life — including family, school and/or work environments. I partner with my patients and their families to explore ways to build on their strengths while helping them manage their challenges.I'm honored to work each day to improve mental health care in our community.
