Dr Albergo is a summa cum laude graduate of the University of Notre Dame and a member of Phi Beta Kappa. He attended medical school at the University of Rochester. Following his internship and a year of internal medicine residency there, Dr Albergo completed a three-year dermatology residency at Duke University, Durham, NC. He is a member of Mensa. He has been involved in research on atopic dermatitis (eczema), psoriasis, and food allergies, and has been published in medical journals because of this research and also on the topic of psoriasis. He is one of the founders of the Tampa Bay Area Charity Foundation 13 Ugly Men. Dr Albergo is a diplomate of the American Board of Dermatology and fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology.
