Richard is a practicing cardiology physician assistant with extensive experience in the field. He began his career as a pediatric cardiologist at Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital before transitioning to orthopedic surgery and later returning to his true passion, cardiology. Prior to his career in medicine, Richard practiced law and worked with the Office of Medicare Hearings and Appeals, a division of the US Department of Health and Human Services. His transition from law to medicine was, as he describes, a “calling,” and he has never looked back.
Richard earned his physician assistant degree from Miami Dade College and his Master’s in Medical Science from Saint Francis University.
