Dr. Mugge obtained a B.S. Chemical Engineering from the University of Cincinnati in 1986 and studied Biomedical Engineering at the University of Akron from 1987-1989. He received his doctorate of medicine from the University of Cincinnati in 1994.
Dr. Mugge completed a general surgery internship at the University of Illinois at Chicago / Cook County Hospital in 1995 and his head and neck surgery residency from at the Illinois Eye and Ear Infirmary in 1999. Dr. Mugge is a clinical instructor of Otolaryngology at Harvard Medical School and is certified in Head and Neck Surgery by the American Board of Otolaryngology. He is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.
