He stayed in Indiana University to complete general surgery training and earned a doctorate in Cellular and Integrative Physiology studying pig to human xenotransplantation. He then went on to train in cardiothoracic surgery at Emory University in Atlanta where he received formal training in VATS and robotic assisted thoracic surgery and completed the American Association for Thoracic Surgery Foundation Robotics Fellowship.Dr.
