Rachael Sims is a board certified Pediatric Primary Care Nurse Practitioner in the Pediatric Pulmonary Division at MUSC. She is originally from outside of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, but moved to the Charleston area after completing graduate school.
Her nursing career began at Villanova University where she received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2019. She then worked as a registered nurse at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia for 5 years on the Pulmonary Complex Care, and General Pediatric unit. She went back to Villanova University to further her nursing education and received her Master of Science in Nursing in 2024. Rachael is interested in preventative medicine and management of chronic pulmonary diseases such as asthma, chronic lung disease, cystic fibrosis, recurrent pneumonia, and more. She strives for patient-centered care and is proud to continue her career in delivering pediatric pulmonary care at MUSC.
