Dr. Abbas is a Bay Area native. She became interested in medicine at a very young age, and graduated from UC Berkeley with a double major in Neurobiology and Applied Mathematics. She became interested in podiatric medicine and surgery the year after finishing college when she became aware of the sports medicine aspect of the specialty. She grew up playing a lot of soccer and basketball, and hopes to help her patients return to their likes and interests. For medical school, Dr. Abbas attended the California School of Podiatric Medicine where she graduated as Class Valedictorian. She then completed her residency training in forefoot and reconstructive rearfoot surgery at the Kaiser Permanente north bay consortium.
