I am a board certified psychiatric and mental health provider and a compassionate clinician with over 14 years of experience giving care inpatient at major New York City private and public hospitals; as well as outpatient within large behavioral healthcare networks. I specialize in treating marginalized populations; including at risk youths, domestic violence victims, low-income immigrants, and individuals with forensic histories.
I am an accomplished scholar with two bachelor degrees (in Business Administration and Nursing Sciences), two master degrees (in Library Sciences and Psychiatry/Mental Health), and a Doctorate in Psychiatry/Mental Health. I have also held clinical assistant professor positions within graduate programs at City University of New York (CUNY) and State University of New York (SUNY).
I have expertise in caring for patients with serious mental illnesses, along with people carrying major psychiatric conditions such Anxiety Disorders, Attention Deficit Disorders, Bipolar Disorders, Major Depressive Disorders, Personality Disorders, Poly-substances Use Disorders, Schizoaffective Disorders, and Schizophrenia.
