After graduation from Lafayette College and the Chicago Medical School, Dr. Paul Weinstein completed his internship, residency, and fellowships in Hematology and Oncology at Montefiore Hospital Medical Center, Bronx, NY, in 1975. Since then he has been in private practice as a member and President of Hematology Oncology P.C. at the Bennett Cancer Center in Stamford, CT, the state’s first community cancer center. He is an attending physician at Stamford Hospital, an associate clinical professor of medicine at Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons, and a clinical affiliate at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York City. He is a collaborative physician at the Dana-Farber Brigham Cancer Center.

Dr. Weinstein’s professional activity is largely devoted to the care of patients with cancers of the breast, lung, and colon. For many years, he was the Medical Director for Medical Oncology and Hematology at Bennett Cancer Center and for its membership in the Dana-Farber Brigham Cancer Center Collaborative. Additionally, he was Co-Director of Stamford Hospital’s Cancer Risk and Prevention Program, the Hereditary Cancer Program, the Thoracic Malignancy Program, and the Colon Cancer Registry. He lectures frequently on these topics and is the Coordinator of Professional Oncologic Education in the community. Dr. Weinstein is actively involved in clinical research and has made several contributions to the medical literature. He has served as an advisor and consultant for several pharmaceutical companies.
