At Palo Alto Mind Body, care is rooted in a rare depth of personal understanding: Before becoming a physician, M Rameen Ghorieshi, MD, MPH spent years as a patient himself, navigating life with Crohn’s Disease. His experiences enduring multiple surgeries, long hospital stays, and the isolation that often accompanies chronic illness gave him an intimate perspective on what it means to feel vulnerable, overlooked, or dismissed in moments of need.This shaped the very foundation of our practice. After earning his MD and MPH at Emory University and completing Psychiatry Residency at Stanford Hospital and Clinics, Dr. Ghorieshi set out to build a different kind of psychiatric practice — one centered on compassion, meaningful connection, and time.
