Dr. Owen Meyers received his Bachelor of Science in Biology from Mississippi College in Clinton, Mississippi. He received his Doctorate of Medicine from the University of Mississippi in Jackson, Mississippi, and completed his Internship and Residency training in Family Medicine at the University of South Alabama in Mobile, Alabama where he served as Chief Resident. He is board-certified in Family Medicine and has over 30 years of experience, including extensive training and a special interest in medical weight loss. Dr. Meyers is a member of the Ouachita Parish Medical Society, Louisiana State Medical Society, and the American Academy of Family Practice. He is a physician advisor to the Center for Medical Weight Loss, a national organization dedicated to training physicians in medical weight loss. He pursues medical research serving as a principal investigator for Clinical Trials of America and as a sub-investigator working with Pennington Biomedical Research Center in Baton Rouge.
