Neal’s Handyman Services was established by Neal Chamberlain of Lexington, MA in 2005 following his 25+ year career in facilities planning, design, construction, and plant management. He oversaw the design and construction (architectural and engineering, general contracting or design-build) of 100+ facilities – 1 billion + total sq. ft. – in buildings ranging from 5K to 1,000K sq. ft. While consulting in Industrial Engineering (Supply Chain & Logistics) re: www.LexingtonEngineering.com he completely renovated his entire home and designed/built two major additions, including the landscaping. At the recommendation of many neighbors and friends (who often took advantage of his handyman and landscaping skills), Neal semi-retired from his engineering practice to take on his love of actually working with the trades, taking on both renovation and maintenance projects. He also uses licensed tradesmen (i.e., electricians and plumbers) were warranted and subcontractors (i.e. framers, painters, plasters, and masons) for larger and/or time-sensitive projects. Neal works closely with many real estate firms to assist owners in getting their homes ready for sale in a cost and time-effective manner. The same holds true for new homeowners who need work completed before or during the move while minimizing disruption to the move in. He also works with several condo associations and over 50 housing developments to take care of many interior tasks for the busy homeowner.
