I’m Dr. Nabin K C, a Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine physician trained in New York. I chose this path because I’ve always been driven by a deep sense of compassion and a desire to help people during some of the most critical moments in their lives. Pulmonary and critical care medicine allows me to make a meaningful impact—whether it’s helping someone breathe easier or guiding them through recovery in the ICU. Seeing my patients regain their health and quality of life is incredibly fulfilling and reminds me every day why I chose this profession. My approach to patient care is centered around empathy, communication, and collaboration. I believe in treating the whole person, not just the disease. I strive to create a supportive environment where my patients feel heard, respected, and empowered to take an active role in their care. I see myself not only as a physician but also as a health advocate, committed to improving outcomes and quality of life for every patient I serve. Clinically, I have a strong interest in managing chronic respiratory diseases such as COPD, asthma, pulmonary hypertension, interstitial lung diseases, and sleep-related breathing disorders. I also focus on pulmonary infections like tuberculosis and non-tuberculous mycobacterial diseases, as well as occupational lung diseases. In addition to medical management, I specialize in procedural pulmonology, including bronchoscopy and endobronchial ultrasound (EBUS), and I am trained in advanced bronchoscopic techniques for peripheral lung nodules, such as robot-assisted bronchoscopy.
Outside of work, I enjoy staying active and connected to nature. I love playing sports like soccer, cricket, and ping pong. I’m also passionate about landscape photography and often combine it with hiking and camping trips. These activities help me recharge and bring balance to my life, allowing me to return to my patients with renewed energy and focus.
