Dr. Young earned her medical degree from Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia. She completed her residency in Ophthalmology at McGill University in Montreal and her fellowship in Vitreoretinal Surgery at Cole Eye Institute. She is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and maintains a Certification in Ophthalmology with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. She has been practicing in Vermont since 2004.
