An accomplished surgeon specializing in burn care and reconstructive surgery, Michael Leslie Cooper, MD, is a recognized expert in treating complex wounds and burn injuries. He has presented his research findings at numerous prestigious conferences, including the Bostwick Burn and Wound Conference, the American Burn Association Annual Meeting, and the Northeast Regional Burn Conference. His current research interests extend to the societal impact of burn imagery on survivors' recovery and reintegration.An Assistant Professor at the Donald and Barbara Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell, Dr. Cooper is dedicated to educating the next generation of medical professionals. He sees patients at various Northwell Health locations, including the Staten Island University Hospital North Burn Unit, Burn Outpatient clinics in Staten Island and Brooklyn.
