He ran the Pacific Crest Half Marathon in Sunriver, Oregon. He has volunteered as a sports medicine physician for Washington Interscholastic Athletic Association, Curtis High School, Seattle Mariners' AAA Baseball Team, the Tacoma Rainiers and the former Tacoma Tides professional basketball team.
