Merit Albums is a family-run business and always has been from the very beginning. Started by Max and Phyllis Polansky in 1956 in Massachusetts, later moving the company to a small location in Reseda, California.

The business was later sold on January 1, 1985 to Violet and John Bosak, Sr. when the Polansky's decided to retire. Violet worked with Max and Phyllis for five years while learning the business. John, however, bought his photographic supplies from the Polansky's for many years for his wedding and portrait business. Because the Bosak family has been in the photographic business for most of their lives, we know all aspects of the photographers needs. And as a result, we have celebrated our 68th Anniversary in business this year.

Since we are beginning our 68th year, we are continuing the tradition of offering our customers impeccable service with top-notch quality merchandise. We offer Renaissance, Tap, Tyndell, Neil Enterprise, and Pioneer products.
