Dr. Meredith Sappington was born in Dallas and raised in Florida and Richmond, VA. She has been a member of the team in various roles since the beginning, as she is the daughter of Dr. David Sappington. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering and Mathematics from Virginia Commonwealth University. She then followed in her father’s footsteps and received her Doctoral of Podiatric Medicine degree from Barry University. Dr. Sappington attended a three-year reconstructive foot and ankle surgical residency at Westside Regional Medical Center in Plantation, FL. She served as Chief Resident and received rigorous training in all foot and ankle pathologies, including trauma, Charcot reconstruction, ankle replacements, limb salvage, and minimally invasive surgery.
