Matthias Linke, DO, is the director of Spinal Cord Injury Rehabilitation and a member of the Department of Physical Medicine and Neuro-Rehabilitation at Barrow Neurological Institute. He is board certified by the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.

Dr. Linke’s expertise includes acute and chronic rehabilitation resulting from spinal cord injury, tumors, trauma, infection, fractures, deformities, and degeneration. He is a member of the American Association of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, the Association of Academic Physiatrists, the American Spinal Injury Association, and the International Spinal Cord Society.

Dr. Linke received his medical degree from Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine at Midwestern University in Glendale. He completed his internship and residency in physical medicine and rehabilitation at Loma Linda University Medical Center in California, as well as a fellowship in Spinal Cord Injury Medicine at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York.

Dr. Linke’s research interests in spinal cord injury include pressure injury prevention, functional mobility devices, blood pressure regulation, adaptive recreational sports, nerve transfers, tendon transfers, and neurostimulation.
