Dr. Astolfi is an orthopaedic surgeon specializing in the treatment of shoulder and elbow conditions. Dr. Astolfi grew up in Corning, New York but moved to the greater Philadelphia area after undergraduate. Prior to medical school, he completed a Master's degree in Exercise Science at the University of Delaware where he also worked as a Certified Athletic Trainer, assisting Division I athletes recover from injuries and return to sport. He completed his medical education at Sidney Kimmel Medical College at Thomas Jefferson University and went onto Orthopaedic Surgery Fellowship at Corewell Health William Beaumont University Hospital, in Royal Oak, Michigan. He was then awarded a fellowship at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania in Shoulder and Elbow Surgery. Dr. Astolfi has been the recipient of numerous awards including the Joseph. P. Iannotti Award for Excellence in Shoulder Surgery, was named the Fellow of the Year in 2025 for his commitment to education and received the prestigious Orthopaedic Research and Education Fund Grant during his residency. He performs a variety of surgical procedures for the shoulder and elbow with a specific focus on treating fractures about the shoulder and elbow, repairing rotator cuff tears, and both anatomic and reverse shoulder replacements for arthritis conditions as well as revision shoulder replacement.
