Matthew Bruns, DNP

Matt Bruns is a board-certified orthopedic nurse practitioner with SSM Health Orthopedics who specializes in helping people manage their bone health. He has more than 20 years of clinical experience in treating patients with bone health concerns.
Matt sees women and men of all ages including athletes who are at risk for osteoporosis or fragility fracture and works with their medical providers to determine the type of treatment needed. Some patients can improve bone health with nutrition and therapy, whereas other patients also may need medication.
Matt works with a multidisciplinary team of medical doctors, surgeons, nurses, nutritionists, and occupational and physical therapists who can assist, if needed, to determine the best treatment.
