Markette is a modern European restaurant with Caribbean influence in Chelsea, walking distance from Madison Square Garden, Penn Station, Hudson Yards and The High Line. Chef and co owner India Doris, winner of the MICHELIN Guide Northeast Cities 2025 Young Chef Award, cooks her Caribbean heritage through European technique. Order the salt cod fritters with scotch bonnet aioli, the braised oxtail gratin with crispy cheddar polenta, or the peri peri chicken. The menu is seasonal and built for sharing, so bring people you want to talk to. The room, designed by Fogarty Finger, has burnt orange banquettes, Murano glass chandeliers and hand painted murals. Full bar and seasonal cocktails. Dinner nightly. The Argyle cocktail lounge is directly downstairs.
