Lancaster Medical Center is a Primary Stroke Center as designated by the Joint Commission. The South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control Medical Services for Children Program has recognized the Emergency Department as a “Pediatric Ready” hospital. It is the fourth emergency department in the state to achieve this recognition.
