Melanie “Mel” is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor, who earned both her undergraduate and graduate degrees from the University of Maryland Eastern Shore. Since graduating in 2012, she has gained experience working in outpatient clinical settings with diverse and minority populations who struggle with mental health and substance use problems. Mel also has experience in program development and coordination. Mel is board approved to supervise both licensed graduate professional counselors (LGPC) and licensed graduate addictions counselors (LGADC); and has been trained in crisis response and treating trauma. Mel’s counseling philosophy embodies a holistic approach that supports the mind, body, and spirit.
