For Loi Doan, DO, leaning into a career in medicine began as a family affair. “Being the second youngest of seven children, I--like many kids--followed my older siblings around. Naturally, when they decided to major in biology, I decided to do so as well.” It was during his biology studies that Dr. Doan found himself drawn to medicine. “I liked the human aspect of medicine the most and really loved patient interactions and getting to know each patient,” he says.” I chose Family Medicine because it allows me the privilege and opportunity to be an integral part of patients lives.”

Dr. Doan grew up in Torrance and spent time working as a radiology assistant and medical scribe before going to medical school. He graduated from the College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific in Pomona and completed his residency at Riverside Community Hospital.
