LibertyMed Health Group is a primary care practice started by childhood friends and founders, Arthur Babakhanians, MD, and Ara Shafrazian, MD. The doctors are natives of Glendale, California, and are products of the community in which they were raised. Dr. Babakhanians and Dr. Shafrazian had a dream to become physicians that would return to and take care of the hometown that helped shape the people they are today.
LibertyMed Health Group prides itself on offering complete and comprehensive care to all of its patients. The team has extensive experience in primary care, chronic conditions, in-patient hospital services, nursing home care, physicals, preoperative medical optimization, sports physicals, and immunizations. They also provide urgent care services that include breathing therapies, antibiotic administration, steroid administration, anti-inflammatory injections, and in house lab testing for UTIs, strep, and the flu.
