Dr. Zhang-Brofft trained at the University of North Carolina for her neonatology fellowship. She completed her pediatric residency with Eastern Virginia Medical School and returns to serve Hampton Roads and the community hospitals. Dr. Zhang-Brofft credits CHKD and her early residency years with cultivating her passion for neonatal-perinatal medicine. She attended medical school at Meharry Medical College in Nashville and she completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County. Dr. Zhang-Brofft pursued neonatology because of the amazing resilience of premature and sick babies, and the privilege of taking care of their families during a challenging time. Dr. Zhang-Brofft is excited to rejoin her CHKD family.
