Dr. Kiara Phelps is board certified in family medicine and a member of the AMA and the American Academy of Family Physicians. She received her medical degree from University of Medicine & Health Sciences, St. Kitts, Saint Kitts and Nevis. She did her PGY1-PGY3 residency at LSU Rural Family Medicine where she trained in minimally invasive procedures (I&D, sutures, skin biopsy) and gained clinical experience in Orthopedics, Pediatric, ED, OBGYN, and General Surgery Specialties. She sees patients from 12 and up and promotes health in patients through diagnosis and treatment of disease, injury, and other physical and mental impairments.
