Kathryn R. Byrne, M.D., is an Associate Clinical Professor at the University of Utah Hospital, Redwood Endoscopy Center, and the Veterans Medical Center. As a Gastroenterologist, her clinical and research interests include diagnostic EUS, complex polypectomy, medical education and endoscopic therapy for Barrett's esophagus and early stage esophageal cancer. Dr. Byrne received her Medical Degree from the University of Texas Medical School at Houston. She received training in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology from the University of Utah. She completed an advanced endoscopy fellowship at the Medical College of Wisconsin. She is currently a member of the American Medical Association, the American Gastroenterological Association, the American College of Gastroenterology, and the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy.
