Family medicine is unique. There's no other specialty that lets you do pretty much everything. In our business, we deliver babies, we care for them their whole lives and hopefully are lucky enough to care for them into their later years. A primary care provider?s most important skill is the ability to slow down and listen. Medicine is complex. But at the end of the day, we're here to help people make it through their day-to-day lives. Sometimes all that technology gets in the way of the physician-patient relationship. Our clinic is designed to care for patients ages 65 and up and is outfitted to care for this population, with wider doorways, wheelchair accessibility, seating designed for seniors and longer appointment times. We understand that this age group tends to have more medical problems and medications. The simple act of getting a patient to a room and taking their history can sometimes take a lot longer, so we devote more time to these patients in a designated space for them.
